For Children

Programs and services especially for children.

The Newhall Library has a  reading program twice a week  on Monday nights and Wednesday mornings during the summer.  On Monday nights it  usually lasts for about an hour.  The first half hour is for reading and the second half is for crafts for the kids.   Wednesday is just for reading stories and is from 10:00 - 10:30.

The theme for the Summer Reading Program of 2014 is Fizz, Boom, Read.      The fun will start at 6:30 p.m.

Parents are encouraged to stay and participate with their kids.                          Summer Reading Program 2009

Our reading program is run completely by volunteers, and we are always looking for talented and willing people to help run the program.

The library has a children's section that includes books and books with cassettes.  We also have leap pads  that can be used in the library and leap pad books that can be checked out.
